Quick answer: Private label on a seamless yoga set means taking a set that is already knitted, dyed and graded and adding your brand: a logo, your labels and hang tags, your packaging. On eligible stock styles the minimum is 100 garments in total with your logo (50 without one), with styles, colours and sizes mixed freely — and because a two-piece set counts as two garments, 50 branded sets meet it. Changing the fit, the knit structure or knitting your logo into the fabric turns the set into custom development, which usually needs 300–500 garments per style per colour.
What private label means on a knitted set
A seamless set is not cut from fabric. Each piece comes off a circular knitting machine as a tube, with the waistband, rib and support zones programmed into the knit, and is then dyed and finished. That program is the expensive part to create, so a stock set is one whose program already exists and has already passed sampling. Private label keeps that program untouched and changes only what sits on the finished garment: the marks, labels and packaging that say it is yours. How the knitting itself works is explained in how seamless activewear is made.
What you can change on a stock set
| You want to change | On a stock set | Needs custom development |
|---|---|---|
| Logo | Heat transfer (HD or silicone), printed tagless neck mark, printed or woven labels | A logo knitted into the fabric as jacquard — a new knitted pattern |
| Labels, hang tags, packaging | Yes — applied in our factory, so sets arrive ready for retail | — |
| Colour | The colourways already shown for the style | Your Pantone shade, dyed after a lab dip, with its own dye minimum |
| Fit, length or rise | — | Yes — a new or adjusted fit block |
| Rib, texture or compression zones | — | Yes — a change to the knitting program |
The line between the two columns is the knitting program. Anything applied after knitting stays private label; anything that has to be knitted differently is development. The branding methods that hold up on high-stretch fabric, and where each one belongs on a set, are compared in our private label guide and in knit-in logos on seamless.
How the minimum counts sets
For eligible in-stock styles the minimum is counted on the whole order, not per style or per colour: 50 garments in total without a logo, or 100 garments in total with your logo or labels. You can spread that total across the available styles, colours and sizes. A two-piece set counts as two garments, so 50 sets are 100 garments — enough for a first branded run. A launch can therefore carry two or three set styles in a couple of colourways each without reaching the minimum separately for every one.
Full custom OEM or ODM work usually requires 300–500 garments per style per colour, depending on design, fabric and construction, and a new knitted pattern generally requires 500. Custom dyeing, fit changes and knit-in logos each have their own development minimums. The current quantities and price bands are on our pricing page.

Keeping the top and bottom the same shade
The most common complaint about a set is that the top and the leggings do not quite match. The causes are known: pieces dyed in different baths, knitted from different yarn batches, or knitted in different structures that take colour differently, such as a ribbed top beside a flat legging. On set programs we knit both pieces from a reserved yarn lot, dye them together, approve lab dips for each structure the set uses, and compare the finished sets as pairs under D65 daylight before packing. The full reasoning is in why tops and leggings don’t match.
Fabric, support and sizing to check before you choose
- Fabric. Our seamless styles are knitted in 90% nylon / 10% spandex. Legging fabrics typically run 230–320 GSM; sports bra and top fabrics are usually lighter, around 220–280 GSM.
- Support. Seamless bras can be made in light, medium and high support. High support comes from a denser, firmer knit, a taller underband and proper sizing, so bralette-style set tops are best sold as light to medium support.
- Sizing. Stock styles come in S–XL as standard, with extended sizes on most knit maps. One-size tops suit light to medium support; a high-support top needs graded sizes — see one-size seamless activewear.
- Pads. Knitted set bras are usually wireless with removable pads, which is worth stating on your product page.
From swatch to bulk
- Shortlist. Pick styles and colourways from our yoga set range, noting the item numbers.
- Feel the fabric. Ask for a swatch pack; swatches are free.
- Sample. A development sample costs about US$30–80 per style, and the fee is credited back against your bulk order. We send free logo mockups before sampling.
- Approve. You approve a fit sample before bulk production starts, so nothing goes into bulk on an unapproved fit.
- Bulk and ship. Your logo, labels and packaging are applied in the factory, and the quote sets out shipping to your door.
What to send for a quote
- Item numbers of the sets you want, and the colourways for each
- Rough quantities and size split
- Logo artwork, the method you prefer and where it should sit
- Labels, hang tags and packaging you need
- Destination country, and whether you want FOB China or delivered (DDP) pricing
With that, you get an itemised reply within one working day: unit price per quantity tier, sampling cost and timeline, and shipping options.
Where Yesseam fits
We knit seamless in-house on 50 Santoni circular knitting machines, mainly the SM8-TOP2V, and run our own cutting and sewing floor, so seamless and cut-and-sew sets come from one factory. When a request goes beyond private label, we say so before sampling and tell you which minimum applies.
FAQ
Can I private label a seamless yoga set without designing it?
Yes. Pick a set from our stock range and we apply your logo, labels, hang tags and packaging to it. The pattern, fabric and knit stay as they are, which is why a stock set can start small.
What is the minimum order for a private label yoga set?
For eligible in-stock styles the minimum is 100 garments in total with your logo or labels, or 50 garments in total without a logo. Styles, colours and sizes can be mixed, and a two-piece set counts as two garments, so 50 branded sets reach the 100-garment minimum.
Can I mix colours and sizes in one private label order?
Yes. On eligible stock styles the minimum is counted on the total order, so you can spread it across the available styles, colours and sizes instead of meeting it per colour.
Can you knit my logo into the waistband of a stock set?
Not on a stock set. A knitted-in jacquard logo changes the knitting program, so it becomes a new knitted pattern, which generally needs 500 garments per style per colour. On stock sets we apply logos by heat transfer, printed neck marks or labels.
Can I get a stock set in my own colour?
Yes, as custom dyeing: the fabric is dyed to your Pantone shade after a lab dip is approved, and each custom shade carries its own dye minimum. The faster route is to order the colourways already shown for the style.
How do the top and bottom of a set stay the same shade?
On set programs the two pieces are knitted from a reserved yarn lot and dyed together, lab dips are approved for each knit structure, and the finished sets are compared as pairs under D65 daylight before packing.
How much does a sample of a yoga set cost?
A development sample costs about US$30–80 per style, and the sample fee is credited back against your bulk order. Fabric swatch packs are free, and you approve a fit sample before bulk starts.
